The sixth member congress and academic annual meeting of Shaanxi Ecological Society was held

On November 8-9, the sixth member congress and academic conference of the Shaanxi Ecological Society was held in Xi'an. Minister Tian Shipo of the Shaanxi Provincial Association of Science and Technology Association was invited to attend the meeting. Our school and 30 scientific research institutes from all over the province including the Institute of Soil and Water Conservation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwest A & F University, Yan'an University, and Xi'an University of Technology, etc. Representatives of 125 members from management departments and related enterprises attended the meeting. Academician Li Peicheng made a concluding speech as the fifth chairman.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Vice Chairman Wu Chengji and Professor Zhao Yonghua. In his speech, Minister Tian Shipo pointed out that in the future, the Provincial Ecological Society will actively explore and practice in reforming the mechanism of scientific and technological workers, developing and serving members, exploring service content channels, reforming governance structures and methods, and innovating institutional mechanisms for public services. The meeting reviewed and approved the “Work Report of the Fifth Session of the Shaanxi Ecological Society”, elected 71 members of the sixth session of the Board of Directors, 38 standing members, Academician Li Peicheng as honorary chairman, Professor Liu Xiuhua as chairman, and Qian Hui Professor is Deputy Director, Professor Zhao Yonghua is Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General, Han Lei, He Junqi, Jia Xia, Li Peiyue, Liu Zhao, Yi Xiu are executive directors, Chen Aixia, Huo Aidi, Ma Chaoqun, Qiao Xiaoying, Wang Xiaofeng, Xuefeng Yuan is a director, He Junqi, Han Lei, and Ma Chaoqun are the deputy secretary-generals; Wu Chengji and Yang Shengtang are appointed as supervisors of the board of directors. Academician Li Peicheng, the fifth chairman, summarized the fifth council and requested that the new council should be guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping's ecological civilization construction and the concept of green mountains, green mountains and golden mountains. The think tank of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, enlarges and strengthens the Shaanxi Provincial Ecological Society, and contributes to the society of ecological environmental protection and economic development in Shaanxi and the northwest region. Professor Liu Xiuhua made a report on Environmental Protection Policy and Society Work Plan Assumption on behalf of the new council.

Professor Li Peng of Xi'an University of Technology, Zhang Yinglong, Chairman of the Ecological Protection and Construction Association of Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province, Professor Li Yongning of Northwest University of Political Science and Law, and Dr. Chai Yongfu of Northwest University respectively made Research Progress on the Relationship between Water and Sediment Changes in the Yellow River Basin and the Ecological Construction of the Loess Plateau,  Reports on Improving the Quality and Improving the Efficiency of the Maowusu Sandland Ecological Governance Area, Improving the Ecological Protection Compensation System and Ensuring Long-term Peaceful Water Transfer in the Middle Line and Coupling Relationship Between Soil Microbes and Plant Communities in the Forest Succession Process on the Loess Plateau; Around the grounding of Xi Jinping's thought of ecological civilization, the current status of Shaanxi's ecological environment and the development and management of the Yellow River Basin have entered into in-depth discussions and exchanges.

Shaanxi Provincial Ecological Society is a non-profit academic organization formally registered in August 1988 by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. The business director belongs to the Shaanxi Science and Technology Association. It is an important social force for the development of ecological science and the promotion of ecological construction and ecological civilization. The business scope is theoretical research, communication and cooperation, information consulting services and related business training. Since the establishment of the fourth council in August 2006, it has been anchored in Chang'an University.
