School of Land Engineering
On September 29, 2015, the School of Land Engineering co-built by Chang'an University and Shaanxi Provincial Land Engineering Construction Group was established in Xi'an; on March 13, 2017, the Ministry of Education issued the On the Announcement of Undergraduate Majors of General Colleges in 2016 Notification of Recording and Examination and Approval Results (Jiaogao [2017] No. 2), approved the new land improvement engineering specialty (undergraduate) of Chang'an University.
The School of Land Engineering of Chang'an University is the first domestic college for the cultivation of advanced talents in land engineering; it is the first and only domestic teaching unit with a complete talent training system for undergraduate-master-doctoral students in land engineering; it is the first in China Approved teaching units for undergraduates majoring in land improvement engineering;
Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Land Rehabilitation is the first provincial key laboratory in land remediation in China;
In the land engineering discipline, he has created a school-enterprise cooperation and co-construction mode; he has created innovative cooperation projects in the field of land engineering that combines government, industry, research, and research; and explored the development of land engineering disciplines in the emerging cross-disciplinary model.
The School of Land Engineering is based on cultivating mathematics, natural sciences, engineering foundations, and professional knowledge to solve complex land engineering problems; possessing basic theories of land engineering disciplines and related basic knowledge about organic reorganization of soil; mastering land engineering surveying, Basic skills such as planning, design, construction, management, and experimental research; have the ability to engage in planning, design, construction, and management of land information and land resources, land remediation projects, land use and protection; understand the disciplines of land remediation engineering at home and abroad and related Disciplinary frontiers and development trends; high-level scientific research and application-oriented talents who are familiar with the country's relevant policies, policies and regulations in the field of land remediation projects.
The School of Land Engineering currently has 43 full-time teachers, including 15 professors, 23 associate professors and senior engineers, and 5 lecturers. Among them, 35 have doctoral degrees and 6 have master's degrees. Among them, there are 31 permanent staff in Chang'an University and 12 in the Construction Group. Academician Sun Jiulin of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Academician Guo Renzhong; Academician Zhao Chunjiang; Researcher Liu Yansui, a Changjiang Scholar; one of the first batch of Thousand Talents Program selected by the Central Organization Department, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhang Xiangcheng of Cambridge University; Ge Yong, a researcher at the Institute of Natural Resources, is a distinguished professor of the college.
At present, five research directions have been established: degraded and unused land improvement, contaminated land improvement and transformation, low-standard land improvement, construction land preparation research, and land improvement project informatization research. Aiming at various types of land problems, based on the research on the organic reorganization of the soil body, various scientific theories, methods, technologies, materials, and construction techniques are researched and solved, and engineering and scientific methods are used to better solve land problems.
